New Braunfels school officials have named a new superintendent, effective May 30. Google Maps Three weeks after naming a lone finalist for the job, the New Braunfels Independent School District's Board of Trustees has officially hired a new superintendent. New Braunfels ISD's board members on Wednesday night unanimously to approve Laurelyn Arterbury as the district's new top executive. 'The board and I are very happy to welcome Dr. Arterbury and her family to New Braunfels,' New Braunfels ISD Board President Eric Bergquist said in a written statement.
