Sergio Mendoza Hochmann/Getty Images After nearly 20 years of serving the San Marcos community, a popular restaurant has opened a second location in the Texas Hill Country. Root Cellar Cafe in New Braunfels is currently in its soft opening with a grand opening set for a few weeks from now, said The Taproot Restaurant Collective CEO Emily Malaya to MySA in an email. The new location will be familiar to New Braunfels foodies as it was previously the spot of New Braunfels Smokehouse.
